Founder- Stephanie Schwartz
When you grow up in Revelstoke B.C. in a family of snowmobilers, you learn to ride mountain terrain or you’ll be left behind! Stephanie has been riding her entire life and has been coaching snowmobiling for nearly 20 years. As the Founder of Mountain Labs & Camps she is passionate about not only teaching skills, but sharing her love of the backcountry. After a day of riding with Stephanie you won’t know if your abs are sore from riding or from laughing. Either way its a win!
Coaches
We have the best coaches out there!! Each of our coaches is selected for their expertise and passion for snowmobiling AND for teaching riders how to improve. They have seen it all before and beg to come back each year because it is SO MUCH FUN!
Clayton Dyer
When not competing in Endurance Ice Racing on two wheels Clayton loves to get out on his snow scoot in the beautiful mountains of BC. He’s a true Motorsport enthusiast who is one heck of a coach as well. Clayton looks after most of the male clinics in BC for Mountain Labs & Camps as well as assistant coach at some ladies clinics. Exploring new terrain is always on his list when riding.
Nicole Sullivan, “Marmot”
If you have Marmot for a coach, get ready for some laughs!! This lady-crusher can ride with the best of them, spread joy like a magical unicorn, and teach you how to dig out your sled all by your lonesome (hence the name Marmot!). She hails from Oregon where she is the Owyhee Basin Project Manager for Trout Unlimited.
David Chadderdon
We all need that friend who will patiently coach you and then promptly push you out of your comfort zone to apply your new learning. That’s David Chadderdon in a nutshell! He is a Wyoming-based rider who has been in the industry for decades. David says he likes teaching women how to ride more than men because they are better at accepting and adopting the coaching! If you’re joining a Wyoming clinic, you’ll love having David around.
Mentorship Program Coaches
These awesome coaches are growing and learning in the sport! They help out with clinics to learn more about how to teach and coach, and provide an extra hand for those deep days!
Mel Granger
Growing up in the Okanagan, Mel’s snowmobiling passion started on the trails and 5 years ago she made the leap into the backcountry! She loves the technical side of snowmobiling and am always looking to push my skills and comfort zone. Aside from her personal goals as a rider, she has a passion for the sport and love seeing other woman conquer their fears and goals on those mountain tops.
Sarah Tiegen
Sarah got into this sport 7 years ago when her husband brought her along on a trip to Radium, BC. Since then she will eagerly pack my gear and travel all hours of the day for a snowmobile trip of any length! Sarah loves opportunities that snowmobiling brings, whether it is meeting new people, riding with my friends, sharing her love of the sport with others or learning new skills!
Lexi Marie
Lexi was born and raised in the mountains and had lots of opportunity for throttle time. In the past 5 years, thanks to some incredible mentors and a ton of time in the mountains, her passion for snowmobiling has taken her to the next level of riding and teaching. Her goals are to keep building skills and pushing her comfort zone, while teaching those skills to other aspiring riders, just as others did for me. Couple of fun facts, my first sled was a 1989 Arctic Jag and my first BC backcountry riding experience was at the age of 13 on a bright red and purple 1991 Phaser.
Andrea Moncrieff
Andrea is a married mom of two from Beaverlodge, Alberta. She was born and raised in Beaverlodge and works as a massage therapist. She spends h er summers river boating and golfing, but her favourite season winter. Andrea rides in the Red Deer river area near Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia. But mostly she’s just here for the coffee and donuts.
Korinne Caldwell
Korinne lives in Taylors Falls, MN and started riding trail sleds at a young age. Eventually found her way to her true passion, backcountry riding. After that first deep snow carve, she was hooked and invested in a mountain sled. She continues to dive deeper into the industry by working as a powertrain project engineer for Polaris. Korinne is always trying to find deep snow and continues to make new friends and adventures along the way.
